The word KIHARI is a word play from the name kalahari, a desert landscape in southern Africa, where the Okavango Delta is located. The delta drains into the dry desert, creating a paradise for diverse flora , fauna and local communities.
01. OUR STORY
In 2021, after witnessing and being part of the Amapiano movement, a rising genre and sound which emanated from southern Africa, there was a gap in style that defined the genre and felt original to the movement, going global, so Kihari was founded.
Clothes serve more than just covering and style. They tell stories, define a people and symbolism..Nobody can tell a southern story better than a southern gentleman. With the founders' unique backgrounds (Eugine) having migrated to Canada from Zimbabwe at the age of 13, navigating cultural differences and way of life, while (Princee )grew up on a farm in Zimbabwe. This feeds into the brand's inspiration and perspective.
